Rider Dies in San Diego Motorcycle Accident on 15 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 22, 2021)—A rider died in a motorcycle crash on the 15 Freeway near the 8 Freeway Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:00 p.m. on the westbound junction to the 8 Freeway from the 15 Freeway. For unknown reasons, the motorcyclist slammed into the rear of a stopped sedan on the right-hand shoulder of the interchange.
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and began performing CPR on the rider. However, incessant attempts fell short and the victim died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan remained on-site and cooperated with police investigators. However, the accident remains under investigation and if anyone has additional details, please call the CHP.
