Two-Car Accident on Day Street in Moreno Valley Kills 17-Year-Old Driver
MORENO VALLEY, CA (May 27, 2021) – A male teen was killed in a two-car accident at Day Street and Bay Avenue in Moreno Valley.
The accident happened around 3:09 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the 17-year-old boy from Winchester was driving a Ford Edge when he collided with a Toyota Corolla. The force of the impact caused the victim to crash into a fence.
As a result of the collision, the teen driver suffered major injuries. First responders attempted saving him, but he died at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
It is unknown at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
