Alex Moreno Arrested in Fatal DUI Accident on West Alma Avenue [San Jose, CA]

Drunk Driver Alex Moreno Plows into Outdoor Dining Area in San Jose Killing One and Injuring 2

 
SAN JOSE, CA (June 12, 2021) – Alex Moreno was arrested for DUI after he crashed into a San Jose outdoor dining area killing one person Friday evening, June 11.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:00 p.m. at the Agave Sports Bar in the 500 block of West Alma Avenue. According to the San Jose Police Department, the 32-year-old suspect from San Jose was sitting in a parked white 2017 Chevrolet Silverado truck, accidentally put it in reverse and hit three people sitting in the outdoor dining area of the sports bar.
 
Paramedics rushed the three victims to a hospital, one woman was in critical condition. Two men suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Sadly, the woman did not survive and was declared dead. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
A female passenger in the Silverado was unharmed.
 
Police arrested Moreno and booked him into the Santa Clara County main jail on suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
