Officers Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Camarillo Crash on Highway 101
CAMARILLO, CA (June 15, 2021) – Colby James Stoker died in a traffic on Highway 101 in Camarillo.
The accident happened around 4:09 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, just north of Camarillo Springs Road. CHP officials said Stoker was riding a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound. At the same time, a 17-year-old girl from Camarillo was driving a 2018 Nissan Versa, also southbound on the highway.
For unknown reasons, the Nissan and the motorcycle collided with each other.
Ventura County Fire crews immediately responded and found Stoker lying on the ground. They attempted saving him, but he died at the scene.
Stoker was a 43-year-old Granada Hills resident, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Meanwhile, the teen was not injured and no one else was in the car. She was wearing a seat belt and Stoker wore a helmet, the report showed.
Investigators had not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were a factor. They urged witnesses to contact them at 805-662-2640.
