Jene Douglas Dies after Two Pickup Trucks Collide on Highway 247 near Visalia Avenue

 
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (June 13, 2021) – Jene Arthur Douglas died in a two-vehicle accident in Lucerne Valley Saturday afternoon, June 12.
 
The accident happened around 4:13 p.m. on Highway 247, just west of Visalia Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, two pickup trucks collided on the highway for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, the 49-year-old Lucerne Valley resident suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
CHP officials did not indicate if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
It is also unknown at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
