Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs on East Main Street in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA (June 7, 2021) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident in the 1900 block of East Main Street on June 3.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 10:00 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk prior to the crash. At the same time, a gray Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on the road. Subsequently, the vehicle without its headlights on struck the victim.
As a result, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the incident. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he died. Officials only identified him as a 60-year-old man.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
No further information about this pedestrian accident on East Main Street is available. At this time, the El Cajon Police Department is still investigating the case.
