One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway at Yale Avenue [Irvine, CA]

Multi-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway in Irvine Kills 1 and Injures at Least 2

 
IRVINE, CA (June 13, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 5 Freeway at Yale Avenue in Irvine Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened just before 5:30 a.m. on June 13. According to the California Highway Patrol, at least three vehicles collided on the freeway for unknown reasons.
 
A representative from the coroner’s office was called out to the location at 6:03 a.m. and pronounced one person dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Paramedics rushed at least two people to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana with unspecified injuries.
 
At this time, the cause and factors of this fatal crash are under investigation.
