DUI Driver Involved in Accident on Surfside Drive in Port Hueneme

 
PORT HUENEME, CA (June 16, 2021) – Three people suffered injuries in a DUI accident in the 500 block of Surfside Drive on June 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 6:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound on Surfside at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it hit a van parking along the south curb. Consequently, the Prius ended up about 100 yards from the scene.
 
As a result, a boy, 6, and his grandfather, 52, in the van sustained injuries in the crash. Paramedics transported both victims to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Prius, a Thousand Oaks woman, 27, was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center.
 
In the end, police arrested the woman on suspicion of a felony DUI offense. At this point, this DUI accident on Surfside Drive is still under investigation.
