Two Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on South Street near Gondar Avenue [Lakewood, CA]

Multi-Vehicle Accident on South Street in Lakewood Kills 2 and Leaves 1 in Critical Condition

 
LAKEWOOD, CA (June 6, 2021) – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle accident on South Street in Lakewood Friday evening, June 4.
 
The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Street near Gondar Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, three vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
First responders pronounced two people dead at the scene. The L.A. County Coroner has identified them as men in their 40s.
 
The crash also injured three other people, one of them was in critical condition.
 
Authorities have not released further details on the cause of the crash, but one person has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
Further investigation is underway.
