Woman Dead in San Andreas Two-Car Crash on Highway 49

 
SAN ANDREAS, CA (June 7, 2021) — A woman died in a two-car accident on Highway 49 near O Connell Lane, authorities reported.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened around 7:30 a.m. near Cement Road. Under unclear circumstances, a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Nissan Altima sedan crashed. The driver of the Dodge veered over the double yellow lines for reasons that require more investigation and collided with the Nissan in a head-on fashion.
 
As a result, a 50-year-old woman died in the accident. At this time, authorities have ruled out alcohol as a possible factor. However, if any witnesses would like to help the CHP determine the ultimate cause, please contact the San Andreas unit.
