16-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Buellton Bicycle Crash on Highway 246

 
BUELLTON, CA (July 23, 2021) — A 16-year-old boy sustained injuries in a bicycle accident on Highway 246 at Sycamore Drive.
 
According to a County Fire spokesman, the accident occurred just before 7:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a small truck traveling on Highway 246 slammed into the teen boy riding a minibike.
 
As a result of the accident, the teen sustained major injuries and was taken to Santa Ynez airport to be transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
At this time, officers have much to investigate about this crash. Therefore, witnesses with more information should contact the CHP Buellton Area Office.
