Rider Injured in Motorcycle Accident at Maria Avenue and San Diego Street in La Presa
LA PRESA, CA (July 15, 2021) — A motorcycle accident at Maria Avenue and San Diego Street left two people injured Friday morning in La Presa.
The crash occurred at around 7:30 a.m. Based on an initial investigation, a Nissan Altima was westbound on San Diego Street, while a Honda CBR motorcycle was northbound.
When the Nissan entered the intersection, the motorcycle slammed on its driver’s side. The force ejected the rider from the motorcycle.
Paramedics took the motorcyclist with major injuries to Scripps Mercy Hospital. Officials have not disclosed his name but said he is from Spring Valley.
Meanwhile, the Spring Valley woman driving the Nissan did not report any injuries. However, a child in the left rear seat of the car suffered a laceration to the head. Medical responders took the child to Rady Children’s Hospital.
