One Killed, Two Injured in DUI Crash on Highway 101 at West Main Street [Ventura, CA]

DUI Driver Involved in Fatal Crash on Highway 101 in Ventura

 
VENTURA, CA (July 16, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person in a DUI crash on Highway 101 on July 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the West Main Street off-ramp around 3:30 AM.
 
Based on reports, a 2016 Infiniti Q50 went down an embankment and overturned in the lanes. Crews were able to remove the three occupants from the vehicle.
 
As a result, one person died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the identity of the victim. In addition, paramedics transported two people to the hospital for treatment of major injuries. Ventura County firefighters identified the victims as men in their 20s from Moorpark.
 
In the end, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old man, on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. At this point, this DUI crash on Highway 101 is still under investigation.
