Plane Crash along Las Posadas Road in Angwin Kills Pilot and Two Passengers
ANGWIN, CA (July 19, 2021) – Three people died in a plane crash along Las Posadas Road in Angwin Friday morning.
The tragic crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on July 16. Scanner reports said the small aircraft came down on a property along Las Posadas Road, which is south of the Angwin Parrett Field Airport runway. The terrain in this area has forests and vineyards.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office said three people, a pilot and two passengers, were aboard the Beech V35B plane. All three of them did not survive.
Authorities did not release the identities of the victims pending next of kin notification.
Witnesses reported flames and a column of smoke after the crash. Photos from the scene show the plane was badly damaged on impact.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will be doing an investigation.
