Woman Hit, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Highway 101
HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA (July 6, 2021) — A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Highway 101 near Pilgrimage Bridge Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run accident happened around 4:46 am. For unknown reasons, a driver in a box truck failed to stop after hitting the woman who had just exited her vehicle. Shortly after, an oncoming car struck her and had left the scene, as well.
Shortly after, authorities issued a Sigalert around 5:00 a.m. that lasted until 9:40 am. At this time, detectives need the public’s help in locating the hit-and-run drivers involved in this crash. Therefore, if anyone has more information on the red and white box truck involved in this collision, please contact the CHP.
