16-Year-Old Pedestrian Injured in Accident on Topaz Road in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 12, 2021) – A 16-year-old boy was hurt in a pedestrian accident on Topaz Road on August 11.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Cobalt Institute of Math and Science at Arvila Drive around 7:16 AM.
Based on reports, a Ford pickup truck was going approximately 15 mph at the time of the crash. At the same time, the victim ran into the roadway and between cars that were stopped in the lanes. Then, the truck was unable to stop in time and hit the boy.
As a result, the boy sustained minor injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported him to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with deputies.
At this point, this pedestrian accident on Topaz Road is still under investigation.
