2 Injured in Car Accident on Ashlan Avenue near Leonard Avenue [Clovis, CA]

Car Falls into Construction Ditch after Accident on Ashlan Avenue in Clovis

 
CLOVIS, CA (August 3, 2021) – Two people sustained injuries in a car accident on Ashlan Avenue, early Wednesday morning.
 
According to the Clovis Police Department, the incident happened on July 28, shortly before 1:00 a.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a Toyota Camry fell into a construction ditch between Leonard Avenue and Highland Avenue.
 
Officers arrived at the scene and later found the vehicle around 15-20 feet deep in a large ditch on the side of the road.
 
The Clovis Fire Department helped the driver and a passenger exit the vehicle. As per reports, the victims sustained moderate injuries and American Ambulance transported them to a local hospital.
 
A tow truck also responded and removed the vehicle from the ditch.
 
Clovis police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
