Driver and Two Passengers Dead after Car Crashes into Tree near Caruthers
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 1, 2021) – Ashley Arias, David Singh and Chad Dean died in a car accident early Saturday morning near Caruthers in Fresno County.
The fatal accident happened just after 4:30 a.m. on July 31, near the intersection of Elm and Rose avenues. According to the California Highway Patrol, the three victims were in a Ford Expedition traveling south on Elm Avenue. For unknown reasons, the SUV veered off the road and slammed into a tree before rolling over on its side
The driver and one of the passengers were ejected during the crash and no one was wearing a seat belt. All three died at the scene.
Arias was 29-year-old, Singh was 35 and Dean was 36, according to the coroner’s office. It is unknown which of the victims was the driver.
It is also unclear if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
