Joseph Lax Hit by Hit-and-Run Driver on Aitkin Road near Girvin Drive

 
OAKLAND HILLS, CA (August 12, 2021) — Joseph Lax was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Aitkin Road near Girvin Drive Sunday evening.
 
According to reports, the incident happened around 6:00 p.m. Per reports, Lax, of Pleasanton, was driving up a blind curve near Girvin Drive in the Montclair neighborhood. Meanwhile, a driver of a Chevy Bolt came speeding up the hill nearly hitting them.
 
Subsequently, an altercation ensued, leading to the two drivers exchanging words. According to footage captured by a resident, the Chevy driver appeared to have sped off, yet only to turn around in an attempt to strike the three people inside the other vehicle. Not long after, the Chevy driver turns back around at an estimated speed of 40 miles per hour and strikes Lax.
 
As a result of the accident, Lax sustained a fractured tailbone.
 
Now, authorities need the public’s help in locating the driver of the Chevy. At this time, police and Crime Stoppers are offering a $7,500 reward for any information leading them to the arrest.
