Man Killed in Corning Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Corning Road
CORNING, CA (August 16, 2021) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Corning Road near the 5 Freeway Friday night.
According to the Corning Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 11:08 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in an unknown make and model struck the 51-year-old man. Instead of pulling over and helping the victim, the driver reportedly left the scene.
Soon after, police arrived and found the victim on the eastbound lane with fatal injuries.
