Richard Kieth, Omar Hanifeh, Mohamad Althan Among Hospitalized in Two-Car Crash on Highway 4 at O’Byrnes Ferry Road

 
COPPEROPOLIS, CA (August 11, 2021) — Richard Kieth, Omar Hanifeh and Mohamad Althan suffered major injuries in Sunday’s two-car accident on Highway 4 at O’Byrnes Ferry Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 2:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 2006 Toyota Avalon traveling north on O’Byrnes Ferry Road failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway 4.
 
Subsequently, the Toyota entered the intersection and crashed into a westbound 2012 Ford F-150.
 
Shortly after, paramedics transported Toyota passengers 27-year-old Althan and 24-year-old Hanifeh to Doctors Medical Center with major injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics brought Ford passenger 63-year-old Kieth to the same hospital with major injuries.
 
Also among those injured were the 47-year-old Ford driver, Mathew Lockett; the 22-year-old Toyota driver, Taher Hanifeh; and the 21-year-old Toyota passenger, Amjad Manifah.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the ultimate cause. However, if any witnesses can help with this case, please contact the CHP.
