DUI Driver Warnervee Walton Causes Deadly Crash on Harbor Freeway at Slauson Avenue
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (August 1, 2021) – Two people died and police arrested Warnervee Walton in a DUI accident on Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning.
The accident happened around 4:40 a.m. along the southbound freeway at Slauson Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Walton was driving a 2017 Buick Regal when he broadsided a 2014 Hyundai Elantra.
As a result, the 43-year-old male driver of the Hyundai and his passenger, a 40-year-old woman, both died at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office will release their names once next of kin are notified.
Police arrested the Walton, 30, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The people involved in the crash were all residents of Los Angeles.
