Woman Killed in Head-On Accident on Highway 152 near Lovers Lane [Gilroy, CA]

Woman Dies in Gilroy Head-On Crash on Highway 152

 
GILROY, CA (August 2, 2021) — A woman was killed in a head-on accident on Highway 152 near Lovers Lane Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 11:15 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a 2015 Chrysler 200 left the westbound lanes and entered the east. Subsequently, the Chrysler crashed head-on with an eastbound 2009 Honda Fit.
 
As a result of a crash, a 60-year-old Los Banos woman — a passenger of the Honda — died in the accident. Meanwhile, paramedics responded and treated the Honda and Chrysler drivers at the scene, both of whom suffered minor injuries.
 
At this time, authorities have ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the accident. Although, if anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
