18-Year-Old Alizha Cooksey Detained in DUI Crash on Gerard Avenue and Buckner Road
MERCED, CA (October 5, 2021) — Alizha Cooksey was arrested in a DUI accident on Gerard Avenue and Buckner Road Sunday night.
According to Merced Police, a crash happened around 11:53 p.m. For DUI reasons, a driver in a blue Chrysler 300 traveling on Gerard Avenue struck a parked vehicle and an electrical box.
Subsequently, three passengers, as well as the driver, fled the scene.
However, authorities became successful in locating the passengers, one of whom sustained minor injuries and required care at Mercy Medical Center.
Not long after, police arrested 18-year-old Cooksey, the driver of the Chrysler, on DUI charges.
