Daniel Yates Dead in Pedestrian Crash on Hollywood Freeway near Cahuenga Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2021) — A woman identified as Daniel Yates, 32, died in a pedestrian crash on Thursday, September 30.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 2:15 a.m., a vehicle struck the woman on the southbound Hollywood Freeway near Cahuenga Boulevard. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The events that led to the fatal incident was not immediately released.
The motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, CHP said.
There are no reports if alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
Officials rerouted the traffic from the area while they conducted the investigation.
