Emmanuel Machuca Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 710 Freeway [Bell Gardens, CA]

Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle while Walking on 710 Freeway in Bell Gardens

 
BELL GARDENS, CA (October 26, 2021) – Emmanuel Machuca was killed in a pedestrian accident in Bell Gardens Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:49 p.m. on October 24, along the northbound 710 Freeway at the Florence Avenue off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, Machuca was walking along the freeway and suddenly ran in lanes. A vehicle then struck him.
 
As a result, Machuca suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 26 years old, according to the coroner’s office.
 
The CHP temporarily shut down all lanes at Florence Avenue for the investigation.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in this fatal accident.
