Gravel Spill after 10-Car Crash on Highway 70
YUBA COUNTY, CA (October 28, 2021) — Gravel spilled after a 10-car accident on Highway 70 at Plumas Lake Boulevard, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car accident happened around Tuesday morning. For unknown reasons, 10 cars collided on the southbound highway and a vehicle lost its load, spilling gravel onto the freeway lanes.
As a result, officials closed the southbound lanes until 8:30 a.m.
At this time, police have not confirmed the ultimate cause of the accident. However, they plan to investigate this case more closely.
Multi-car accidents happen along freeways when driving remains constant. When driving, keep a distance from other cars in case danger occurs. That way, you will have enough road clearance and time to respond.
