Mondragon Estrada Among Injured in Big Rig Accident on Highway 41 [San Luis Obispo County, CA]

Mondragon Estrada Among Hurt in Big Rig Crash on Highway 41 near Highway 46

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA (October 7, 2021) — Mondragon Estrada suffered moderate injuries in a big rig accident on Highway 41 near Highway 46.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:03 a.m. For unknown reasons, 27-year-old Estrada drove his Peterbilt commercial vehicle from the southbound lane to the opposing lane.
 
Subsequently, the left front of his big rig struck the left front of a northbound Honda. Due to the impact, the big rig veered off the east-edge roadway and overturned down a steep embankment. Meanwhile, the Honda came to rest in the southbound lanes after hitting a metal guard rail.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and airlifted Estrada to Sierra Vista Regional Hospital while another team transported the Honda driver, only identified as Mutshnick, to the same hospital.
 
At this time, officers have ruled out impairment as a suspecting factor of the accident. However, anyone with more information should contact the authorities.
