Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Agnew Road near Garrity Way in Santa Clara
SANTA CLARA, CA (October 21, 2021) – A 30-year-old pedestrian was killed in an accident on Agnew Road, Monday evening.
According to the Santa Clara Police Department, the incident happened on October 18, at about 6:50 p.m. The victim reportedly attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk when a southbound vehicle hit the pedestrian near Garrity Way.
Emergency responders then rushed the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the victim was later pronounced dead. Authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the 67-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
