Steven Pallares Dies in Accident with Semi-Truck on Highway 58 near Towerline Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 19, 2021) — Steven Pallares died in a crash with a semi-truck on Highway 58 near Towerline Road Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 5:19 a.m. For unknown reasons, 34-year-old Steven Alejandro Pallares allowed his eastbound Mercedes to collide with the rear of an eastbound Freightliner semi-truck.
Following the accident, paramedics and authorities arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the semi-truck, which had been traveling around 45 miles per hour before the accident, survived the crash.
At this time, police have not confirmed if DUI played a role. Although, an investigation into the cause continues.
