Fire Crews Rescue 2 Passengers after Rollover Accident on Sand Canyon Road in Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA, CA (October 4, 2021) – Two passengers were taken to a hospital after a rollover accident on Sand Canyon Road in Santa Clarita late Friday evening.
The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on October 2, just a mile south of Placerita Canyon Road. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a vehicle had overturned down a 200 feet ravine and landed on its side.
Crews from the LAFD and the Santa Clarita Valley Search & Rescue Team responded to the scene and rescued the two passengers using a rope rescue technique, according to officials on scene.
Paramedics then transported the passengers to the hospital in unknown conditions.
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
