Early Morning Fiery Accident on Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood Kills Two
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (October 11, 2021) –
The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on October 11. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle was traveling northbound when it crossed into southbound lanes for unknown reasons. It then crashed into a palm tree and caught fire.
The vehicle was still burning when emergency crews arrived. There were no visible skid marks at the scene, making it unclear whether the driver tried to slow down prior to the crash.
Firefighters found two people dead inside the burning vehicle. The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
Authorities said the victims were men between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
