LAPD Vehicle Involved in Crash on Fifth Street in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 20, 2021) – Two officers and four others suffered injuries following an LAPD vehicle crash on Fifth Street on October 19.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Los Angeles Street around 10:50 AM.
Based on an initial report, officers found the LAPD cruiser with damage to its front end and driver’s side. It was left in the middle of a crosswalk with its airbags deployed in the front seat. As of now, officers have not yet released the details surrounding the crash.
As a result, six people, including two police officers, were hurt in the incident. Paramedics transported the victims to the hospital for treatment. The Los Angeles Fire Department said a bystander had serious injuries while the other three only suffered minor injuries.
At this point, the cause of the crash is under investigation.
