Manuel Sanvictores Jr. Dead after Moped Accident in Santa Barbara

 
SANTA BARBARA, CA (October 29, 2021) – A man died after a moped accident on North Hope Avenue on Sunday, October 24.
 
Police identified the victim as 53-year-old Manuel Zarzoso Sanvictores Jr. of Santa Barbara, according to The Santa Barbara Police Department.
 
According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, Sanvictores and a friend rode mopeds at about midnight in the 900 block of North Hope Avenue when they collided north of Monte Vista School.
 
Both subjects ejected from their mopeds and landed on the roadway. However, both seemed to be uninjured and remounted their vehicles and traveled to another friend’s house.
 
A short time later, Sanvictores Jr. started experiencing chest pains, was feeling ill, and decided to go home. At about 2:00 a.m. Sunday, emergency personnel dispatched to the Sanvictores residence on Broadmoor Plaza, off State Street west of Loreto Plaza, where he had collapsed in a bathroom.
 
Emergency personnel pronounced Sanvictores Jr. dead at the scene.
 
It appears the collision is directly linked to his death, according to police. However, Santa Barbara police continue to investigate the fatal accident.
