2 Die in Car Crash with Semi-Truck on Wells Road
SATICOY, CA (November 1, 2021) — Two people died in a car accident with a semi-truck on Wells Road near Highway 126 Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 9:55 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero heading southbound on Wells Road collided with the trailer of a semi-truck. As a result, the Mitsubishi exploded in flames, killing a 33-year-old Oxnard man and his 22-year-old male passenger from Oxnard.
Meanwhile, the 64-year-old Fillmore man driving the semi-truck escaped harm.
At this time, police have much to investigate, including any outstanding factors. However, they have learned that the car accident with the semi-truck occurred as the truck was turning onto Wells Road from Highway 126.
