Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Sedan on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (March 3, 2024) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa early Friday morning on March 1.
 
The fatal crash happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. just north of Airport Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on the highway in the middle lane when it struck the man who walking from the right-hand shoulder toward the center median.
 
As a result, the male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Paramedics took the Toyota driver to a hospital with minor injuries. Officers determined he was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.
 
Crews closed the highway for about two hours for the investigation.
