Woman Killed in Bicycle Crash on Lozano Road in Auburn
AUBURN, CA (March 20, 2024) — A woman died in a bicycle accident on Lozano Road near Chili Hill Road on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly bike crash happened around 10:50 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a woman in her 60s or 70s who was riding her bike with a companion. Subsequently, authorities responded to the scene near Ophir Elementary School to find her with significant injuries. However, due to her grave condition, she passed away in the crash. Officials have not released her name.
Following the incident, law enforcement officers closed Ophir Elementary to investigate the scene.
