13-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured after Being Hit by Two Cars on Zinfandel Drive [Rancho Cordova, CA]

Teen in Critical Condition after Hit-and-Run on Zinfandel Drive in Rancho Cordova

 
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (April 1, 2024) – A teen girl sustained serious injuries after she was hit by two cars on Zinfandel Drive, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on March 27, at about 9:30 p.m. The victim reportedly attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk with her friends. However, an SUV hit her near International Drive.
 
A second vehicle also hit the victim.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Authorities did not release the name of the victim.
 
As per reports, the driver of the first vehicle remained at the scene. However, the driver of the silver sedan did not stop.
 
Investigators are not sure if the second driver is aware of the collision.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
