Three Vehicles Collide on Highway 33 in Taft Killing One Person

 
TAFT, CA (April 3, 2024) – A man was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 33 in Taft Thursday morning on March 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:15 a.m. just north of Cadet Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles collided on the highway for unknown reasons.
 
Paramedics arrived and found a male occupant suffering from significant injuries. They rushed him to Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, where he was pronounced dead.
 
The identity of the deceased was withheld at this time. It is also unclear if the victim was one of the drivers or a passenger.
 
There were no other injuries reported in the crash.
 
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. This fatality is still under investigation.
