Noah Garcia Dies, 5 Hurt in 2-Car Crash on Cathedral Canyon Drive near 33rd Avenue

 
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (April 10, 2024) — Noah Garcia died in a two-car accident on Cathedral Canyon Drive near 33rd Avenue.
 
According to the Cathedral City Police Department, the deadly 2-car accident happened around 9:00 p.m. Monday. For unknown reasons, a northbound vehicle was speeding on Cathedral Canyon Drive. Subsequently, the high-speed car crashed into a second vehicle making a left turn from southbound Cathedral Canyon Drive onto 33rd Avenue.
 
Upon impact, the high-speeding car traveled a thousand feet, hitting two mailboxes and skidding sideways before striking two parked cars on a driveway.
 
Soon after, paramedics took the 19-year-old driver of the first vehicle to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he died. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified him as Noah Garcia.
 
Four others in his car, including a 20-year-old woman, a 21-year-old woman and a juvenile female sought hospital care for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second car was unhurt but the passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as well.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the ultimate cause. However, police did uncover two loaded unregistered handguns in the first car.
