Roger Williamson Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 5 Freeway [Burbank, CA]

71-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle near Burbank Shopping Center

 
BURBANK, CA (April 22, 2024) – Roger Williamson was killed in a pedestrian accident in Burbank Sunday afternoon on April 21.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:45 p.m. at the Empire Center, located just west of 5 Freeway north of Victory Boulevard. According to the Burbank Police Department, a vehicle struck Williamson near the Krispy Kreme doughnut shop and the Sephora store.
 
Williamson suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 71-year-old of Arleta, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with traffic investigators.
 
The cause of the crash was not immediately known, but neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors.
