Julian Franks Dies in 2-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Valley Road near Davidson Road

 
WILLITS, CA (July 16, 2024) — Julian Franks died in a two-car rollover accident on Valley Road near Davidson Road.
 
The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 30-year-old Franks passed away in the two-vehicle crash. Around 11:00 p.m. Sunday, his 1985 Toyota pickup truck drifted from the east to the westbound lane and sideswiped a 2022 Honda Accord. Upon impact, his truck overturned and ejected him out of the vehicle.
 
The 16-year-old girl in the Honda survived the crash with unknown injuries. However, Franks passed away from his wounds.
 
Authorities learned that he was not wearing a seatbelt in the accident but have not determined if DUI, speeding or distracted driving factored into the cause. The California Highway Patrol Garberville Area’s Laytonville Resident Post will look further into this case.
