Big Rig and Stolen Car Collide on 60 Freeway in Pomona

POMONA, CA (August 9, 2024) — A semi-truck and a stolen SUV crashed on the 60 Freeway near Brea Canyon Road.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities learned that a driver of the stolen SUV collided with a semi-truck. The SUV stopped near the center divider’s guard rail and the semi-truck toppled onto its side.

Fortunately, no one claimed any injuries in the accident. Officers did not provide information on the stolen vehicle or the driver. Due to the crash, crews issued a SigAlert in the Diamond Bar area.

Many accidents happen on interstates. It’s important to travel carefully around larger vehicles. Navigate the roads with attention around these trucks since they need more space and time for maneuvering. Stay out of their blind spots, as well.
