CLOVIS, CA (September 20, 2024) — One person was injured in a bicycle accident near Clovis Avenue and Saginaw Way.
 
According to Clovis Police officers, the bicycle crash happened around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a van struck a bicyclist carrying a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans.
 
Subsequently, paramedics responded to the report and transported the injured bicyclist to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Meanwhile, officers stayed on site and investigated the possible causes of this crash.
 
At this time, police did not say if the cyclist was in the bike lane or crossing the street and if DUI factored into the cause. However, an investigation is underway.
