Semi Truck and Sedan Collide on 580 Freeway in Oakland Killing One Driver
OAKLAND, CA (October 27, 2024) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on 580 Freeway in Oakland Saturday afternoon on October 26.
The fatal accident happened around 3:10 p.m. at 980 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi truck and a white Toyota Camry collided for unknown reasons.
As a result, the driver of the Toyota suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
There are no reports of injuries to the other driver involved.
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
