Cyclist Struck by Undercover Cop at Chestnut Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (November 1, 2024) — A bicyclist was hit and injured by an undercover officer at Chestnut Avenue and McKinley Avenue.
 
Fresno Police said the bicyclist rode against a red light before an on-duty undercover officer struck him at the intersection.
 
Subsequently, paramedics responded to the 4:40 p.m. crash that Tuesday and transported the cyclist to Community Regional Medical Center. Officers did not provide an update on his condition.
 
Thus far during the investigation, police do not suspect alcohol and or drugs to have played a part. However, they are investigating how the bicyclist was hit by the undercover officer.
