Ruben Mijarez Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Ramon Road [Cathedral City, CA]

52-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Cathedral City

 
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (February 13, 2025) – Ruben Mijarez was killed in a pedestrian accident in Cathedral City on January 25.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly after 7:45 p.m. on Ramon Road. According to the Cathedral City Police Department, Mijarez was crossing the street when a vehicle struck him.
 
When officers arrived, they found Mijarez in the eastbound lanes on a bridge with significant injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed him to Desert Regional Medical Center before being transferred to Loma Linda.
 
Sadly, Mijarez did not survive and was declared dead on February 10. He was 52 years old.
 
Officers did not locate any witnesses or the suspect’s vehicle.
