Rider Dies in Early Morning Accident with Sedan on East Mission Bay Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 27, 2021) – A motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle accident on East Mission Bay Drive early Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 1:15 a.m. on June 26. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 33-year-old victim was riding a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja southbound in the 2500 block of East Mission. For unknown reasons, he lost control of the motorcycle and fell, crossing over into the northbound lanes. A northbound 2016 Toyota Camry then struck him.
As a result, the unidentified motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
It was unknown whether the driver in the Toyota or its occupants were injured.
The fatal accident is under investigation. Anyone with further information is urged to call the San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
