Woman Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 132 near Gates Road [Modesto, CA]

Woman Dies in Modesto Head-On Collision on Highway 132

 
MODESTO, CA (June 18, 2021) — A woman died in a head-on crash on Highway 132 near Gates Road Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 4:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a sedan drifted to the right and struck a metal guardrail. Subsequently, the sedan veered toward the SUV and the vehicles crashed head-on.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and ushered the 46-year-old Paterson woman driving the SUV to a hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries despite having received life-saving measures. The other driver sustained major injuries in the collision.
 
At this time, officers have ruled out impairment as a contributing factor. Although, if anyone has more to add to this crash, please contact the CHP.
