VICTORVILLE, CA (July 29, 2022) – A driver suffered serious injuries in a rear-end crash on Hook Boulevard on July 28.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Amargosa Road at approximately 4:10 AM.
 
Based on reports, authorities found a white 2017 GMC Arcadia SUV and a silver Kia Forte in the lanes. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Tricia Blake said one of the vehicles rear-ended the other.
 
As a result, one of the drivers suffered life-threatening injuries. Immediately, deputies started chest compressions on the victim before transporting him to a trauma hospital. The other driver sustained cuts to the head.
 
In addition, the crash shut down the intersection while the Victorville Police Department responded to the scene.
